What Sets Our Residency Program Apart
Our general internists are a dedicated group of clinicians who offer real-world experience along with strong academic credentials, and our core of subspecialists are accomplished leaders in their areas of sub-specialty medicine. Supervised autonomy is a fundamental part of the program, playing a critical role in preparing the residents for independent practice in hospital medicine. Besides, residents typically gain significant hands-on experience with a wide range of procedures.
Saint Francis Hospital offers you a congenial, well-structured hospital in which your service responsibilities are kept to a minimum and your educational responsibilities are maximized. Support services including IV, catheter insertion, EKGs, transportation and venipuncture are available 24 hours a day. Our vascular access team demonstrates a high level of expertise in the placement of midlines and PICC lines, ensuring timely and efficient patient care.
Additionally, ample technology and research resources are provided for the house staff, as well as lounges and comfortable areas for relaxation and sleep.
All Saint Francis Hospital residency programs participate in the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS) and applications are only accepted through ERAS.
